Founder/Executive Director- Randy Ramos (Colville/Coeur d'Alene)

Born and raised mostly in Spokane. Randy spent most of his formative years in the city of Spokane, but spent his summer times with his father on many different reservation in the Pacific Northwest. Which later on would play a significant role in his relationships and who he is today. Spending time with numerous Cuzzins and learning from Elders in places like Pendleton (Umatilla), White Swan (Yakama), Wellpinit (Spoqni), Usk (Kalispel), and Keller (Coville) Randy sees that he was blessed in having been able to enjoy so many amazing people and experiences . He also gained invaluable knowledge about the community and the values that they all shared. He knowledges that all though they all have difference amongst each tribe and even families, they all show immense amount of respect, love, and care for all their relations. It is these values that Randy is determined to bring to his work at UNYO.  

He has held many different jobs, but the ones he found most rewarding are the ones when he was working with community to realize and to fight for a greater society. He has brough his work as a grass-roots organizer, sports coach, youth counselor, personal trainer to UNYO to reconnect our youth to their communities and to their traditional ways. 

He is excited and committed to creating a world that is safe and sacred for our youth to grow into the leaders this world so desperately needs.
